Front brake lever?

Need suggestions on new levers!!!!

Was out riding today, and took a trail I never rode before. Looked like a nice trail, but about 100 yards in what looked like firm dirt turned out to be soft, slick mud. Front end slide out from under me and the glee went down. Bent the shit out of the front brake lever. I also smacked my left shin on something and got a hell of a lump on it. So now I am icing my shin and looking for new levers, any suggestions?

Whatever you get, buy some Bark Busters to protect them.

Tom is right...........it could have been worse..........could have snapped your clutch lever clean off?? (not likely, but still possible) The barkbusters will protect the levers along with your fingers in a dirt spill...........or in a parking lot "oops". I would think Ebay would be a cheap source for cheap replacement levers vs OEM Suzuki prices............

On the "too get" list. I have OEM handguards that are worthless for anything but wind protection. I guess on the plus side, they actually did not break. I am not sure how they didn't with how bad the lever bent, but they didn't

Any specific ebay levers?

I wouldn't mind something shorter than the OEM levers as well.

Go to PM. Linking off site sales forums like e-bay and craigslist is against forum rules.

Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. I didn't quite make it to 17,000 miles on the 2012 DL650A.
Nicknames I use to lessen typing, Vee = 2002-2012 DL1000s. Vee2=2014-2016 DL1000s. Wee = 2004-2011 DL650s. Glee = 2012-2016 DL650s

Ok. Thank you for keeping me out of trouble

If anyone has experience with any of the ones on ebay, or elsewhere, please pm me a link if they will work on a 2012 DL650.

From what I've seen Suzuki seem to have one front brake lever that fits many bikes, eg I know the Gladius and L2 wee have the same lever.

They are also good to protect your hands against flying things, taking a June Bug to the fingers at 75, kind of sucks, even if wearing gloves. I smacked a locust at 70 with my gloves on and it was an awful mess, bug guts every where and 15 minutes scrubbing bug juice out of my glove. Kind of stung a bit as well.
I'd buy your factory handguards, since they are worthless..., if you put barkbusters. PM me when you're ready to sell them please.

Newer owner here looking for the same information on levers that
will work with or without bark-busters. I don't have the handguards yet but
possibly will add them in the near future.

Can anyone PM me ebay levers or?

Thanks.

I just bought some generic Suzy levers off eBay. I bought two of each and carry spares in the bike's saddlebags.
