'12 Wee Speedometer Accuracy?

Long time browswer, new member to this forum. I got my first DL650(ADV) just last week. I had read about how the speedometer was always a bit off, is this true for the '12 model? Does anyone have any data based opinons/facts on this?
Thanks in advance.... :-)

It appears to be the same as the older bikes, about 8% high. An indicated 70mph is a real 65mph.

Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. I didn't quite make it to 17,000 miles on the 2012 DL650A.
Nicknames I use to lessen typing, Vee = 2002-2012 DL1000s. Vee2=2014-2016 DL1000s. Wee = 2004-2011 DL650s. Glee = 2012-2016 DL650s

The odo seems to be off by about 2 to 3% as well.

If it bothers you a lot, the odo or speedo can be fixed by a product called a speedo healer. There are other brands as well. They can adjust the speedo & the odo in tandem, but not independently, so one or the other will be off by a little either way.
