Who'll stop the rain?

Wouldn't you know that after finally ending my five year motorcycle free run we would have the rainiest summer ever. I'm growing pretty tired of this view.

Count your blessings. Most of the south/midwest would kill to have your problem. It won't be too much longer we wont have enough water to flush our toilets.
On the plus side, lawns are dead, so no grass to mow.

And no grass to mow means more time to ride. Seriously, I do feel for you guys. I have family in Arkansas and New Hampshire who are in the situation and would love to have some of rain we're getting. If it were up to me I'd gladly share.

I guess I just missed it.

I headed south on Thursday.

Where in NC is your home?

I'm in Moore County. We've had afternoon thunder showers almost every day this month.

I heard from someone today in Climax (come here often?), about some big major storms.

I live in the mountains, we get very intense, unpredictable, mostly isolated storms this time of year after things heat up.

Hit the road at sunup, you should be able to get at least a few dryish hours in.

Maybe we can send some of that rain out to the Midwest.

We'd kill for some of that rain here in Arkansas. Farmers are letting their cows die because they have no grass and can't afford to feed them. Corn is brown and dead on the stalks. NOAA reports we have had 0.1" of rain since April 17th. There is serious talk about water rationing around here.

I feel for you folks in the Mid-West and surrounding points. What a weird weather pattern this summer has been.

Today and yesterday here in SE Va we've had almost 3" of rain. I wish we could UPS some of it to you guys instead of watching it flow out to the ocean and bays.

But it hasn't been all wet, we seem to get a week of 95+ degree weather with little rain and then Bam!, 2 days of torrential rain, followed by another week of hot and dry, and then more rain.

Our corn farmers are happy because the the crop here is doing very well and the drought out west is raising the prices a lot.

Maybe the pattern will shift, I sure hope so for everyone in the mid-section of the country.

Is your bike made of sugar? I personally love riding in the rain. It's much cooler and it seems like there's less cars out there.

My bikes not made of sugar but it sure is sweet! I don't mind riding in the rain too much, but a severe thunder storm throws a few twist in that I'd rather not deal with.
