Very thorough coverage of the basics, thanks for putting it together. Sound and picture quality were just fine for me. I look forward to future installments.

I have about 1200 miles on mine and I couldn't be happier. Traded-in a Vulcan 900 Custom cruiser for it and the only better-than I can give the Vulcan is 70+ highway stability (in wind for example) - only because the cruiser is lower to the ground and heavier. I'd still give 70+ highway comfort to the V-Strom with its butter smooth engine and upright seating. I'll add a fork brace at some point to improve the stability in wind.

A quick thanks to others who make these kinds of vids, they really help the bike research process.

Nice. The park position lights the tail light though, not the brake light. I didn't realize the display brightness was adjustable. You taught me something.

Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. I didn't quite make it to 17,000 miles on the 2012 DL650A.
Nicknames I use to lessen typing, Vee = 2002-2012 DL1000s. Vee2=2014-2016 DL1000s. Wee = 2004-2011 DL650s. Glee = 2012-2016 DL650s
