Got mine on an SW Motech mount that's above the instruments and uses the screen mounts. Easy to see, easy to reach, not too badly affected by vibration from the road.

Same here. The pic unmounted also has Madstad brackets. In actuality, the combo works best with the Madstads on the bottom holes and the SW-M on the tops. Some removal of material is required to so that but Madstad will be making the latest brackets to clear.

Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. I didn't quite make it to 17,000 miles on the 2012 DL650A.
Nicknames I use to lessen typing, Vee = 2002-2012 DL1000s. Vee2=2014-2016 DL1000s. Wee = 2004-2011 DL650s. Glee = 2012-2016 DL650s

I've been using the 660 for a couple of weeks now. I think it'll be a great tool once I learn how to upload my own routes. I use the cell phone feature and the mp3 unit with an interphone4 I bought mainly to use when the wife tags along. I ended up just using the Garmin hardware and mounted it as shown. It's convenient, and easy to tap and see.

Close to my left hand because I like to tap.

Stock hardware except for a dedicated RAM u-bolt with the ball on top, which is a little cleaner than the hybrid u-bolt/clutch perch mount that comes with the Zumo.
