Universal rear rack?

Anyone know of a good universal rear rack that will fit? Found this one, and it looks nice, though a bit pricey:

Rear Luggage Rack, Suzuki V-Strom DL650, 2012-on - Touratech-USA

Anyone have something different?

Wow, noone has a rear rack? Are they that scarce? Guess I may try to fabricate one myself from some aluminum plate then.

The H & B rack can be used like the TT one, or use the adapter to attach one of their top boxes onto. Looks ok in either mode, but not very wide / deep.

Most people either use the stock rack or add a mount specific to a hard topcase.

Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. I didn't quite make it to 17,000 miles on the 2012 DL650A.
Nicknames I use to lessen typing, Vee = 2002-2012 DL1000s. Vee2=2014-2016 DL1000s. Wee = 2004-2011 DL650s. Glee = 2012-2016 DL650s

SW Motech Rear Rack

I went with the SW Motech Rack as they sell the kit to fit with the Trax Top Box, it's made of laser cut steel and was $119.00. Fits well and is nicely finished.
If you are not going with a top box why not just stick with the factory one?

I've got a Pelican case that I'd like to mount back there, but would also like the ability to strap more stuff on if needed. The stock one seems like it would get scratched up too easily, plus it doesn't really have good connection points for straps. I might just fab up a basic rectangular aluminum plate with some oval holes around the edges for strap connections, and use the mounting bolt holes that are already there to connect it and the Pelican.

I'll look at the H&B one as well, but the prices sure seem high for just a piece of metal. Thanks for all the replies fellers.

Ya might be looking for something like this. It's a fair bit larger than the Touratech and has better tie down points, IMHO. It's a strong & lightweight Aircraft Aluminum cargo plate that measures 15.5" wide x 13" long w/lots of tie-down slots machined into the perimeter. It's still a tad pricey at $90, but it is also designed to mount your Pelican. The hardware for a locking quick mount system for a pelican box is sold separately. It's also set up specifically for the 2012 wee!

I am using Roger's side case system and am very impressed with the quality and how well thought out the system is.

There is this:
Adventure MotoStuff V-Strom Luggage Rack V2.0 - Black
But I prefer this version with the Givi Adapter:
Adventure MotoStuff V-Strom Adjustable Topcase Mounting System V3.0 For Givi Monokey Cases
Also works with the JC Whitney Top Case.
Just remove the adapter for a flat surface and put back when you want the top case again.

Ouch! $90 for a piece of aluminum. Tell me about this locking quick mount for a Pelican you speak of, and who is Roger?
