2012 DL650 exhaust leak?

I have 600kms on my new wee, and I've noticed that i get a "whooshing" noise when accelerating, it sure sounds like a very small exhaust leak, but it only happens when the engine is under load and more prominent in 3rd gear and above.

I get no noises when I rev it standing still, or under decelleration.

I'm going in for my 1k service soon and just wanted to know if this is an issue that I should raise or if these noises are normal?

It's normal. I'm guessing the scissors primary gear.

Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. I didn't quite make it to 17,000 miles on the 2012 DL650A.
Nicknames I use to lessen typing, Vee = 2002-2012 DL1000s. Vee2=2014-2016 DL1000s. Wee = 2004-2011 DL650s. Glee = 2012-2016 DL650s

You said something different before. Now, you've described normal airbox noises. Anyway, an exhaust leak would be staccato, not whooshing.

Yeah it's definately not staccato, must be the airbox then, just wasn't used to it coming off my old KLX, it never had much intake noise.

thanks for the info!
