Suzuki OEM Top Case

Hey,

First time posting here, just got my '12 V Strom and am loving it. I was thinking about ordering the OEM Top Case from Suzuki though because I need some extra storage as the bike is my only real form of transportation (other than my wire's car sometimes).

I wanted to see if anyone else has gotten the top case and what their thoughts about it are. I would like to have the back pad for when my wife rides and any thoughts/comments/pictures would be great.

Thanks,

ps if there is a thread about this already I apologize and I couldn't find it.

Hope you're not in a hurry because they are on backorder. I have one on order now. I guess I will just wait for it to come in. You have to order the mount kit also to attach it to the plate that is on the bike. I have the adventure model, don't know what to order for the standard model.

I have one and it is ok. I have the Adv so I bought it to match the other Trax boxes. Took a little more than a month to come in. I got it from Ron Ayers and the box and install kit came up to around 420. The only gripe I have about the box is that it drones when empty since it is close to the exhaust. Can be annoying but fill it and it is no issue.

Honestly the 40 dollar plastic E Bay special on my KLR 250 is larger, easier to remove and has a better lock.

So I guess it is all in what you want. Personally if you don't have an Adv. and are shooting to match the side cases I would go with something else.

I have the standard and am mostly looking to match the style, have room for all my gear, and be comfortable for a passenger.

Thanks for the info so far.

Love mine(TRAX). No noise, fits my Shoei FF( I must have a "pinhead" as most here are saying their helmets won't fit), locks work well when you use graphite.
