What exactly are the stock 2012 tires?

I would imagine that the rear is the:
Bridgestone TW152 Trail Wing Dual Sport Rear Tire
150/70VR-17 or are they 150/70R-17

& the front is:
Bridgestone TW101 Trail Wing Dual Sport Front Tire
110/80VR-19 or are they 110/80R-19

What is the difference between r & vr?

thx

My stock rears say 150/70R17 69H. I am just ordering a new rear (Tourance Non-Exp) as by the end of next week my stock rear will be worn out.

How many miles did you put on that rear tire?

I'm just short of 12,000 km or 7,200 miles. I ordered the tire today but I would not be able to get it installed until the first Monday in June so I'll probably have another 2,000 km (1200 miles) by then. The original stock tire on my 2006 was replaced at about 16,000 km or 10,000 miles so it looks like I'll be a little short of that. My 2012 has seen much harder riding than my 2006 did when it was new. I run about 42 psi in it like I did on my Tourance's. (Which typically gave me 19,000 to 21,000 km for the rear.)

does the 'max load' include the weight of the bike as well? Or is that the load that can be added on top of the bike?

Logic would dictate that a max load on a tire would be the total the tire is designed to handle since it doesn't know on which bike it will be mounted.

Just looked at my ADV model in garage. US model apparently same as Canadian:
front trailwing (101) 11080R19 (59H)
rear trailwing (152) 15070R17 (69H)

Cheers,
Don
