Speedo out

Hi guys I've noticed when I'm in the car the speed on Google maps is usually 3 or kmh less than the speedo reading. On my bike there is a 10kmh difference, could this be down to the phone being outside or could the bike speedo be out by so much?

What you're experiencing is within the normal error range for the motorcycle assuming the GPS mounted to your bike is reading XX kmh slower than the bike speedometer.

There are aftermarket fixes available if it's important to you to have the motorcycle speedo read correctly.

Knowing the error I just ride at corrected speed, that is about 6% in my case.

Yes it is % thing, the faster you go the bigger the gap, most are off about 8%.

With your bike the sensor is on the front sprocket, if you add one tooth to the front sprocket you can get very close to spot on.

Or a speedoDRD to adjust it http://shop.12oclocklabs.com/index.p...&product_id=59
