DL650 rental near Munich

Rented from Allround in Erding. Not sure what year it was, VIN sticker wasn't quite like mine. Had a little over 8k km when I got on.
Remind me not to buy any Krauser luggage.

Shucks, I had Krausers on all my BMW's for a long time. I took to running a strap around them to keep them on the bike and from popping open at odd times. Other than that they worked well.

First week was 590 euro, second 490 e. The cases were extra, I think another 50 euro.
Based on 2500km/week, more km's would be an extra charge.
I averaged 301 km/day (about 190 miles).
You might ask if I was on a motorcycle or a bicycle.
Every day I rode from 8-4, then started looking for a place to stay. You just can't cover many miles in the Alps/Dolomites in a day.

What a cool motorbike trip.
Not quite criss-crossing Australia, but with the benefit of civilization close by.

I think it would work out cheaper for me to fly into Munich, rent for a week, less wear and tear on my own bike too, it would take me 3 days just to get to Munich not to mention the cost of accommodation/ferry fuel etc.
How strict are they on checking the bike for any damage? the deposit can be a bit of an issue with some rental places so I've heard. did you enjoy your trip?

"How strict are they on checking the bike for any damage?"

The owner was recovering from an injury, his wife checked me in. She could see the bike was just dirty.

" did you enjoy your trip?

It was my third time, on the second I had two recent internet friends. I don't think I will go alone again; it's nice to have someone to talk to once in a while. But of course gorgeous place to ride.

I took a Blue Rim Tour (5 country tour) last year and then did a week solo, on my own, in Alps. Looking to go again for a two to three week Solo trip. Glad I ran across this thread, as the bike rental I used was a bit expensive. This company is almost half. Please post the contact info for me. or send it via PM or my E-mail [email protected]. Thanks

I don't know where all the other bikes were stored, there were just a couple in Erding.
Of course you're dealing with a big time of day difference so you won't get an immediate reply. But I got lots of back and forth emails.
I'd use the again.
