Yup, I just bought a very purdy red k15 dl650. I favour top loading aluminum luggage but I ain't rich. What's the best deal for luggage for these bikes.
I am in Canada but could cross over to Buffalo for a deal.
pvwheeler likes this.

After 35 years of not riding, I started back with an '86 K75, then a '94 r1100rs and, gladly, have arrived at a 2003 dl1000.
I live near the CNE and I am having some fun.

Look up S O L O B O X On Facebook. best deal on quality boxes & frame stuff you are looking for.
He makes stuff for a lot of different bike also. Wonderful to deal with, most fair prices.

Recently went through this struggle getting luggage for my S10. Ended up with Givi Trekker Outback's. The cheap brands end up costing about $800CAD, Trekker Outback's can be had for about $1200CAD if you shop around.

I felt the Givi design, features, and general support were worth the extra $400.

Current: '15 Tenere ES - 30k km, '07 FZ1 - 70k km
Past : '06 FZ6 - 115k km, '06 KTM 625 SMC - 30k km, '06 V-Strom 650 - 80k km

I would get a pair of used Pelican 1550 or search for some knockoff versions.

I mounted mine directly to the SWM racks with the LID bolted on. Makes it real easy to pack if you use a bag that fits the Pelican. https://www.stromtrooper.com/5121786-post19.html
