Shinko 804 clearance issues??

Hi guys,
Getting ready for a 2 week trip in September that will include some gravel travel and I'm looking to replace the Mitas E-07's that were great last Spring on a similar trip.
Right now I'm looking at the Shinko 804/805 combo. I keep hearing about clearance issues on the front, has anybody experienced this issue on the 2012-2016 year 650 models or is it only on the Gen2 1000's?

Thanks,
H.

Henry

If you do run into this issue, this front fender raising kit from AdventureTech should help out!

I've gotten into some mud that about locked up the front wheel (804/stock fender).
I cobbled up a UFO fender to the fork brace a couple of years ago, still hanging on.

Yes I highly recommend Rick's fender raising kit.

Agreed. It took me about an hour to install. But I'm running my second set of 805/804 and I love those tires. And the clearance is now not a concern. I can't say I ever used an 804 before i raised the fender. It only raises approx 1/2" (if my memory is half accurate).
