According to the manual, toggle to the regular odometer setting. (let go of it then.)
Then hold the Adjust button, the rubber button on the left, for 2 seconds. Then you can select between Miles and KM.
I'm not sure how, as I'm not near the bike now, but this is the extent of the manual's directions.
If you choose Miles, you'll get Fahrenheit.

I think you need to change mpg back to mpg US style. The one that also shows C is imperial mpg i think. One affects the other. Look closely. Good luck

Got it.... It was set to Imperial gal, no idea how that happened..... when i fired it up the other day i thought i'd have to get the snow suit out when it said 22 degrees.....

Feet, Inches, miles, gallons, all used by the country that has landed men on the moon... everybody else uses metric.
Thanks guys

Actually NASA used a combination of metric and imperial on the Apollo missions and is in the final stages of abandoning imperial altogether. science.nasa.gov/science-news/science-at-nasa/2007/08jan_metricmoon

I've done that accidentally before after filling up:

1. Write down miles
2. Toggle to MPG, write down MPG
3. Forget I'm on the MPG display and hold down the adjust button to reset my trip meter.
4. Get frustrated that it's not resetting.
5. Realize I'm on the wrong display and toggle five more times to get back to the trip meter.
6. Reset the trip meter (finally) and forget that I changed MPG.

And I'd be lying if I said this has only happened once.

A few years back, whilst returning to SFO from Yosemite, IU saw a sign that said San Fran 187 miles. I thought that was an odd figure. Then it hit me - so I got out my phone and calculated the distance in km. It was 300km.

Maybe they were ready to change to km but it got stopped.

Everyone on board the bus (except the driver) were from metric countries so they understood the distance when given in km. I can use both but when I was in the UK a few years back, I reset my GPS to give the distances in km - I'm so used to km now even though I was brought up on the Imperial system (we changed in 1974).

When the display is toggled to the mpg reading, press and hold the adjust button to switch between us and imp. Can also switch between km/L and L/100km.
(I just learned that a few minutes ago, prompted by this thread to consult the manual and verify. Good way to start the day, learning something new.)

I don't want a pickle, I just want to ride my motorsickle. A. Guthrie.
