spoke wheels

Hello, I wonder if anyone knows if the new 2016 DL650X spoke wheels will fit 2012 650 bike. I think the spoke ones would be safer on less mag wheels friendly roads, did anyone try this mod?

Nobody has to my knowledge, the spoke wheels cost a fortune and nobody with the spoke wheels seem to be interested in trading. My "guess" is that it would work, as the 12 and up 650's don't have the speedo/odo pickup on the front wheel anymore.

Thanks. It seems that 2000 dollars would be what I'd have to pay for a set of wheels. I guess OEM ones will work just as good.

I wanted spokes so I sold my '07 and bought a '15......that's the easiest way...lol.

As far as cast wheels and off road, it is 100% doable, but you just have to be careful and do not air down. Moab can be hard on wheels of any type, and we have done some pretty hairy trails(for a 'Strom) with my buddy on his cast wheels with no drama.
