So I bought my 2014 VStrom DL650A used and it didn’t come with a manual. What’s the approximate fuel quantity remaining when the fuel symbol flash? How much when the fuel symbol AND the last bar of fuel flash?

The fuel mark blinks when there are 4.5L of fuel left. The mark and the last bar blink when there are just 2.5L of fuel left.

I don’t suppose it mentions how much is unusable or trapped fuel??? That would help ya know how much range we can expect. I doubt it can literally use all that fuel.

And once the last bar starts flashing there is no other indication of low fuel. It does not go off. flashing pump -> flashing fuel gauge bar -> quit.

Don't run your tank too low the fuel pump likes to be cooled by fuel around it.

The tank is 20 litres, I usually refill every 200 miles but she'll do 250 no problem, filled up today after 200 miles, both warnings had been flashing, it took 13.6 litres to refill to the bottom of the filler neck, (approx. 6.5 litres still in the tank) the first bar had been blinking I'd say from about 180 miles.

I think of each block as 50 us miles. At 250 the last block has been flashing for a while. I think the spec is 5.3 US. The most I have put in is 4.7 USG around 260 miles. I ride pretty easy.
