Smile Mounting GPS on genuine Navigator Bracket

I'm picking up my new 2015 V-Strom 650 next week & I have ordered the genuine Suzuki Navigator Bracket & am wondering how to attach a GPS to this. I was planning to use a Navman F series GPS that I already have (it has the power source on the side). Apart from a dodgy Velcro job or drilling into the GPS casing, does anyone know how to attach this please? Do I have to purchase a different type of GPS unit? Any assistance would be much appreciated.
