Go to one of the mpg displays. Cycle the display by holding the ADJ button down until it changes each cycle. If you have miles but a Celsius figure you are on the Imperial mpg display instead of the US mpg display.

Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. I didn't quite make it to 17,000 miles on the 2012 DL650A.
Nicknames I use to lessen typing, Vee = 2002-2012 DL1000s. Vee2=2014-2016 DL1000s. Wee = 2004-2011 DL650s. Glee = 2012-2016 DL650s

Or else your bike is smart enough to know that the world has gone metric and that sooner or later the USA will catch up.:biggrinjester:

In the USA, we do have a strange mix of the old and new when it comes to metric vs English. We accept sodas being sold in 2 liter bottles, engine sizes measured in cc's or liters, but yet we still buy gasoline by the US gallon and measure speed by miles per hour. I had to admit it was strange to me when I visited Montreal a few years ago and saw speeds posted in km/h and gasoline being sold by the liter.
