Any reason not to buy a new 2012? Did anything change?

I've found a great deal on a leftover 2012 new Glee...about what everyone seems to ask for used ones lol...
I've tried searching and I can't seem to find that anything changed from 12 to 14?
I'm not concerned about resale as people seem to ask crazy prices even for first gen Wees.
I've had two 650s and two 1000s all first gen up to this point.Id love to try a new Vee but I'm not sure I could justify the $4000 difference in price...😊

I bought a 2012 a year ago with no regrets. I've heard that there can be an issue with warranty work in some instances but it's never been clear to me what those circumstances are. Never needed warranty work so guess I'll never find out.

It's a great bike and if you liked your wees and vees I'm sure you'll be very happy with a '12.. It's a good'n

Same here, new one is less $$ than used. Paid about the same in BC, I have imported bikes from US before. With our dollar tanking against the U.S., you cant beat the deals at home.

It's the farkling that adds up!

Smile 2012 also

I bought my December 2012 brand new in June 2014, got 12 months road registration and full 2 years of warranty. I don't care about resale value, when I finally get rid of it (extremely unlikely) I won't care. This is a fantastic bike that I expect to keep till I can no longer ride. It may get a friend in the garage when I find the correct (older bike) tug for my next sidecar building project.

I picked up my '12 Glee about a month ago with 7k on the clock (previous owner didn't ride much), and I've crawled all over the '15 plates at the dealer and can't see any difference.

Only thing I've heard is that the crash bars are redesigned as the ones Suzuki used to fit caused various levels of vibration for some owners. I get a slight tingle at exactly 4900RPM, but that's it.

I'd say go for it!

Right, so now if you want the factory crash guards, just make sure they are the new design......I'm sure there is plenty of info here to help guide you. Just don't let the dealer tell you there was no difference, because there sure is......good luck!!
