New Bike On Its Way

I ordered a 2015 DL650 XT the day before yesterday, the one with beak and spokes . Now I have to wait almost a month for it to arrive in the country. The days are really dragging.

I have loved my 2004 650, just went on a 2200km trip around the North Island of New Zealand earlier this month with a 2013 DL650 and a 2014 DL1000. My bike, which has done almost 160000km certainly held its own with the 2 newer bikes.

I will post pics of my new bike on this thread when it finally arrives.

A quick question though, anyone know if the Givi crash bars and swmotech skid plate from my 2004 will work on my new bike?

Thanks.

You might be able to make the skid plate work with a little fabrication. I doubt the engine guards will though.

I think there is a split around '06 on the bar fitment.
Try & see... but if you need to replace I have a set of new Givi's 4 sale for a rightious price in the "For Sale" ads that came off my new '15....:beatnik:

According to this post, at least some of the Givi crash bars for Wees will work on the Glee.

So I got my new bike last Tuesday. It is amazing. This is my first, and probably last brand new vehicle so I'm still babying it. I've done about 400km in 1 week (minus the weekend because I went away with the missus)
The Givi crash bars and SW motech skid plate do fit, the bars maybe not quite as easily as they did on the 2004, but they look great on the new bike.
I also got Givi Trekker Outback luggage, I got the 42l top box, 37l box on the exhaust (right) side and 48l in the left.

They are indeed tubeless. I think they look awesome, but I may be biased.

Congrats! It looks awesome, and I like that color. I "beaked" my '13 a few weeks ago.

Is that the Suzuki beak, or an aftermarket one? Got any pics?
Yeah, I waited a bit longer for the matte grey, they had a red one that looked really nice, and i think the other colours were coming sooner, but I am glad I waited for the Grey, it looks quite classy in person.
