What a nice mix...

So, I'm on I-15 headed South, doing 160mph in 8th gear, the breeze blowing thru my open-toed sandals, tank top flapping above my shorts, texting wildly with my left hand, my mind mulling over just how much Armor All to use on my foot pegs/grips/seat/tire treads when I realize that I just don't notice my bike under me... OK, ok... none of that is true except the part about not noticing the bike under me... meaning that my bike seems sooo perfect for me in its riding stance and comfort level that I can dismiss any mechanical concerns and just enjoy the flight at 0 ft above ground level... I linked up with a BMW couple and we wove a 92-95mph (indicated) highway trail through the foothills towards Salt Lake City... The gas mileage suffered a bit, and the one grasshopper that hit deadnuts center of my face shield suffered even more... but it was a sensuous ride with a smooth entry in to the valley... Round trip of 768 miles, no complaints... Hope you are all enjoying Spring rides as well...

Yes, 95 indicated with bags is a common occurrence... without bags indicated is a bit higher! I didn't have the side bags on this trip, but my streamline toolbox (mounted lengthwise) so only side winds were noticeable!

Note: the bags have a sticker that forbids going past a certain speed... but I removed the stickers so it's all good!

I saw an indicated 126mph yesterday with my soft bags on with a healthy tailwind on flat ground. 95 should be no problem.

I'm afraid my windshield will snap off if I go that fast. Second thought, if I removed it I bet I could get at least another 10 mph.

95 indicated (if there is an 8% speedo error) = 88 true...just 8 over the speed limit.

I've hit 107 indicated twice. I figure that's right around 100 actual. Both times with panniers. It felt like it was about out of juice at that point.
