Need exhaust recommendations

Howdy all,

Just picked up a 2014 v-Strom adventure. Reading that several of the aftermarket pipes don't fit with the suzuki luggage racks attached. Anybody changed an exhaust on a 14 with the Suzuki racks? Any suggestions? Thanks.

Anyone? Really would like to find an exhaust that produces a bit more rumble.

Might try the search function, other than that stock looks and sounds pretty nice all things considered.

If you just want more volume you can modify the existing exhaust. I saw a how-to youtube video by "NW Adventure Rider" on an older V-Strom.

My neighbor, and I, like the factory exhaust. She complains about a Harley up the street that wakes all the nearby homes when he goes to work early in the morning. She says she can't hear mine at all and I live next door.

Weighs loads less, still fit the OEM centre stand, sounds throatier, without being silly noisy, ie doesn't sound like a tractor is the GPE Stainless:

I am riding a 2012 with the stock pipe. Maybe I am wrong, but it seems to be getting more of a bark this year.

to the OP, I know 2bros will fit with the stock adventure luggage. I don't have one, but know of a few people that do.

Thanks all. Really am new to the V-Strom and love it so far. Spent way too long trying to figure out what to ride.

I've seen the yoshimura installed with zuki racks but it's not compatable with all skid plates or center stands, if that matters to you. The akrapovic is compatable with a small modification to it's mounting bracket.
