EB heated grip connector 2013 Glee

Guess I'm a dork when it comes to adapters. I received the VStrom Heated Grip Adapter from EB and it has the same female end as does the connecter coming from my bike on my 2013. I had assumed it would be plud and play just like the ascessorie adapter. I wasn't going to use the heated grip adapter for grips, but for something else. Oh well, live and learn.
What did miss here?

Something's wrong there. The heated grip adapter is male. VStrom

Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. I didn't quite make it to 17,000 miles on the 2012 DL650A.
Nicknames I use to lessen typing, Vee = 2002-2012 DL1000s. Vee2=2014-2016 DL1000s. Wee = 2004-2011 DL650s. Glee = 2012-2016 DL650s

If I remember correctly there's a plug that you have to remove on the bike's connector.

Hum....I can clearly see the female end coming from the bike. As GW stated, the adapter from Eastern Beaver should be male.

I must be thinking of the accessory connector that had the plug. My EB connector worked. Contact EB.

If the adapter doesn't look like the one I pictured, you were sent the wrong part.

According to Jim, I ordered the wrong one. I should have ordered the "FACTORY" grip connector. Guess I need better glasses......
The one I ordered is the same as GW posted, but that's not the adapter that goes on the 2012+ models.

VSFHGA means V-Strom factory heated grip adapter. You may have been looking at the right one but chose the one under it because of the model year getting your attention.

Yea, kind of misleading, especially since the Ascessorie Adapter and the Vstrom Heated Adapter for the 2012+ are in the same "block" on the webpage.
