Thank you. After posting here the views grew exponentially!

I used a Drift HD with external microphone, cable routed inside helmet liner and the mic itself under the fabric to cut down wind noise. It worked. Edited the video with Magix Pro (us$69). Rode 5 to 7 hrs a day, starting early and aiming to stop at around 2 to 3 pm. To catch the foliage (leaves of trees turning to yellow, then red) you have to ride from 15 Oct to 1 Nov. At first snow they close the section. Short window of opportunity.

Persistent lower neck / upper back pain after 1 or 2 hrs ride, although ergonomics of the DL650 are pretty good.

Speed limit is 45 m/h on Parkway and 35 m/h on Skyline Drive (Waynesboro to Front Royal) Watch out for upcoming cars turning left and crossing your path to enter vista points, out looking areas. Also watch out out for acorns while on a curve, and deer specially at dusk. Lots of crossing squirrels, DO NOT try to miss them.

For the most part ride till 2 pm then ask GPS for nearby hotels. Call and if they have room, do not reserve, just go. GPS guided of course. Avoid "honey moon romantic lodges" unless you are riding with your sweetheart, goes without saying. Some campgrounds have cabins. There motorcycle oriented inns too, but they asked for firm reservations and were more expensive.

Thanks. Very interesting and nicely done. I've watched most of them already.

I recognized some of the roads in your Day 4 video - fairly close to where I live. Looks live you live in a very nice area too.

Again, thanks for making the effort !
