just because I am interested in it:
Does the reset of the learned ISC values affect the fuel consumption?
Got my bike back from the 12000km service and it seems to be a bit more thirsty compared to the time and same environmental temperature the two years ago.
When cold, the bike produces more intake noise also.
The ISC reset only affects idle. That's a very minor player in fuel consumption. Something else is involved. Intake noise could be different if the old air filter was very dirty or if the new one was not properly installed. People do not remember sound values well though. Your impression of the sound comparison may not be accurate.
There are a lot of variables involved in fuel economy. You may need a longer time period for a valid comparison. Your old methodology for recording fuel economy would have to match your present one for even that to be valid. Even then, if it is just a few mpgs, that would be within statistical probability.
