Auxillary Power

I have a GPS and a cell phone that have cigarette style plugs that I have hooked up to the Glee's battery right now. I want to run these off the auxillary power up under the right fairing because it's less of a pain that having to deal with the wires running from the battery up to my handlebars.

My question is, what I else do I need to buy other than what Jim at Eastern Beaver calls his "Accessory Adapter"? I'm getting conflicting advice in this regard that's confusing to an "electronically challenged" guy like myself. I realize you can buy the PC-8 fuse panel and relay kits and all kinds of other neat stuff, and maybe some day I'll do some of that. But for now I just want to do what I described above. So . . . the accessory adapter and, what else?

Thanks,

Keith

Nothing else is needed if you're just wiring one access. socket. Just plug the adapter into the wiring harness inside the fairing (remove the dummy plug first) then connect the other end (I used crimp connectors) to the socket. I have one wired this way and one directly to the battery. I'm not sure if you can connect two sockets to the adapter.

One way to run 2 items off one socket is if your charger male plug has a USB female socket (or two) built in. Then you can use one (or two) USB cable (s) with the appropriate mini/micro/whatever fitting on the other end.
