Raising the bar on a dl650 abs

Like to raise my handlebars I am aware from reading here that abs bike have a limit on the raise w/o the different brake line. Looking mine over I see that if I remove the bolt holding the loop that captures the brake line, the first one, and bypassing the loop that would free up some line. Is this how it is done?
Thanks great forum here although it is causing me to buy to much in the way of farkles.

There is definitely a limit to how much you can raise the bars. Some people have reported installing 2 inch risers with the stock set up while others have said they require line extensions. To be safe I went with the Tusk 30mm risers. Several fellow troopers reported that they were solid and they definitely are. The best part is that they can be had for about 20 bucks shipped.

I think the stock bars are pretty high already. I replaced mine with some Renthals that were just a tiny bit higher and they are just right. Standing is not a problem at all.

Rox 2" risers

I installed Rox 2" pivoting risers on my 2012 abs DL650 without adding cable extensions. I just slipped the cables out of the retaining loops you described.

Same here, installed the Rox 2" risers, have them swept back enough that the front bolts on the bars are fully exposed. Guesstimate, 1" back and 1" up.

I too only had to move the lines out of the fork loops.
