Power Commander.... worth it?

I love my V-Strom, but the main thing I dislike is typical of pretty much any EFI bike -- twitchy throttle response, especially at lower RPMs. It makes low speed maneuvering more difficult than it needs to be. My other bikes are all carbureted so no such trouble.

Will the Power Commander V fix this? I don't care about getting extra power; power is fine. If it helps throttle response and smooths it out, great. If it helps fuel economy, great.

Anybody know? Thanks!

I just installed one with K&N and stock exhaust. It does feel smoother at parking lot/neighborhood speeds (smoother roll on and off response) and seems to pull better under 4000rpm than the stock EFI. I haven't run a full tank though yet but MPG initially seems a bit better as well. Is it worth it? Jury is still deliberating but over time I think it will be.

I wouldn't mind trying it out with the Akrapovic map. Might wait till the warranty expires.
