Exclamation Lost power to gauges and turn signals

Hey guys,

My battery still starts my engine fine, but I lost all power to my gauges and turn signals. Anyone ever experience this - is this likely a fuse issue?

Welcome aboard!

Assuming you have checked that the battery connections are good the next thing to check is the large plug that goes to the dash on the left side of the cowling. Not being plugged in correctly, corrosion and bent pins are things to look for.

My Opinion:
Vee or V= DL1000 before 2014
Vee2 or V2 = DL1000 2015 to 2019
Vee3 or V3 = DL1050 2020 to?

My Stroms:
2006 DL650: 202,000 km 125,500 miles, Sold
2012 DL650 139,500+ km, 86,700+ miles. Sold
2015 DL1000 New July 2015 205,000+ km, 127,000+ miles.

This can help preventing from cars pulling out in front of you (SMIDSY)

Please fill in your profile where you are etc. and add info about your bike to your signature so you get better answers.

I assume you have no headlight relay kit installed. Once you found the bad connection and fixed it I strongly recommend adding relays for your headlights to reduce the current going thru various connectors that have a tendency to oxidize (and/ or corrode) and then get hot and eventually have no connection.

Let us know what you find.

Here are some examples of what to look for:

Blau1 2004 DL650-sold
Blau2 2014 DL1000A

Bike still runs? I had this happen a couple years ago and it was a blown fuse. Once replaced, it never happened again.

I don't think the starter button is part of the equation here.
