Tank topping a 2011 Wee

Has anyone calculated the amount of gas that the tank holds with the newer vapor seal pumps that automatically shut off when it's "full". There's always room for a bit more gas after the pump shuts off.

Do you mean the pumps with the rubber sleeve that has to be pushed back? When filling a motorcycle you just have to hold that back with your hand so you can fill it up properly, otherwise you lose like half the tank.

Too much other broken stuff to list

This is what I do as well. Luckily not a lot of those pumps where I live.

I made a Gas Pump Foreskin Retractor out of a piece of alunimum. Polished it up all shiny. I gave it to a friend that had trouble filling her old Chevy pickup.
The one for my G650GS BMW I put on a stainless steel tether and velcroed to the saddle bag for saFE KEEPING.
Pull back the rubber foreskin and slide the retainer and pump without strain. i should make and sell these things.
They do have a catchy name.
Basically it's just a U shaped bit of metal.

I have not seen one of those pumps but on all my steel tank bikes I punch a hole in the fill tube to allow for quicker and fuller refills.

The tube is made of very thin metal and holes are easily punched through with a sharp object, I use a brass hammer to reduce the chance of a spark.

Aerostich has sold them for many years - https://www.aerostich.com/e-z-fill-nozzle-key.html

I retract it manually and hold the foreskin front against the gas tank's cap rim while filling. Always get a full tank.

Being slow doesn't make a boring bike. I had a R1 which I thought was boring. Boring is a bike that doesn't speak to you. If you like what your bike is saying let it's voice take you to far flung places. - Vertical C
