HEED and Weld86

Hello Everyone:

Have any of you had any experience with HEED tip over bars and the Weld86 skid plate?

I just purchased a 2009 650 and I ride mainly street with the occasional dirt road, I will be getting involved in Gymkhana also.

I looked at others but for the money this looks like a good setup.

Givi gets slammed for poor quality and SW Motech is way to much$

Thank You

I have the stock bars on my 2015 ADV and put a Weld86 plate (used...Thanks Meefza !) I only ride an occ. dirt road so the plate is plenty strong to take a rock hit and protect the motor. Have not fallen on the bars to test them (yet...)!

I got a weld 86 from the factory. He helped me put it on. Nice product for the occasional dirt road rider. I picked up a 2nd Weld plate from the for sale section of the forum for a project bike.
Bars are nice. I crash tested a set of SW Motech and they performed admirably. A good accessory for the bike.

Hello:

Well after digging through options, and what I was willing to invest in time to make this and that work I decided the heck with it and went with SW-Motech.

Not allot of options out their for the older Wee! I tried, to go through HEED but their online E-Bay store did not allow me to purchase.

Next are the BarkBuster Storms when they become available again.

Thank You all again

I have had SW-Motechs on my K6 Wee for a number of years and have been quite happy with them, other than the initial cost.

Tip on the Weld86. It reflects lots of engine noise. I sprayed it heavily (3 coats) with auto undercoating and it really cut the noise.
