Oldest Wee Still Running?

Just curious - my Wee is an 05 and has an Australian compliance plate dated 01/05. The last 4 digits of the VIN number are 0350 which leads me to believe its the 350th one built. Does anyone out there have an older one still running?

Sure. The first model year built was 2004.

I have an '04. The build date is 02/04. 101594. yours is more older. Congrats. Guy with the oldest bike buys the beer!
It's old and beat up, like me.
The mileage is only 93+K miles. I don't get out as much as I used to.

I was also wondering how many of the early year Wees are still kicking. Mine is also a 2004/2 Vin Number 100040 The old girl is a bit beat up after a couple of drops but still runs sweet after 96K KM and hasn't had any issues at all in that time, cant ask for better than that. So still some 2004,s getting around :grin2:

My 04 with VIN 100200 is still strong and purring like a kitten. Only normal maintenance performed. See avatar

My 2004 (Feb. build, VIN 101474) is going strong at just under 30,000 miles. Sadly, I have not put many miles on her the last few years.

How can mine be 01/05 with a lower number than an 04 model? The full number of mine is JS1B1121300100350 which is genuine... did Australia get different VIN numbers to you guys?

Railrocker 08-02-2017 07:56 AM

My 2005 DL650 was built 04/05. Last three of VIN are 502. 54,000 kms. Still looks, runs, and handles great! No real issues other than tires, brakes etc...

Cheers

An 05 may have a lower number than an 04 if they start the number series over again with the model year.
Who know the mystery behind VIN numbers?

There is a local guy that is a Honda Car restorer, turns out one of his cars is Numero Uno Honda made. The first little N600.
He's lucky enough that Honda wants it back and is helping to restore it.

We should be so lucky to find Wee number one and have Suzuki pay big bucks to have it back! Dream on!

My new to me wee is a 2004 with 22k miles. Works perfectly.
