I think the spots where my boots have worn the paint down to bare aluminum give my bike character.

I have no idea what these things are... does anyone have a picture of them on the bike?

They cover the socket where the swing arm pivots and stop your boots rubbing the frame paint.

Skip to the 15 minute mark. Pay 5 cents instead of $15. ;P

Not only that but a useless necro-post. "5 cents" for a new pivot well cover if you already have a buddy with a 3D printer, or your own, otherwise nah.

My left one was missing when I bought the bike. Right one is loose and will probably fall off. If it bothers me sufficiently, can probably find something at Ace Hardware that will stay in.

Jesus, talk about hostile.
Do you guys have nothing better to do? If I had made a new thread you probably would have bitched because the topic was already covered.
I didn't suggest you buy a 3D printer you silly goose. If a missing plug doesn't bother you, that's great!

For what it's worth, I'm glad you brought this thread back up. I never knew these covers existed, as my 2006 Vee had neither when I bought it, and I don't remember seeing them on any of the few V-Stroms I've seen in person. I might have to get a couple of these. :-)
