Hey All and thanks in advance for any input you feel like providing on this topic. I have an 07 VStrom 1000 with 32K on it, well farkled and running well. However, am considering shifting to an 18 VStrom 1000. Would love to hear your input on the top 5 (or 10) reasons for doing so, as well as any concerns. I'm one of those 90/10 pavement/dirt road riders, so am looking at the base model without the spokes.
From what I'm gathering, the clutch basket is once again likely to be an issue? If so, I'll be in touch with RealShelby again.
And, it would seem that my old Enduro plate and highway pegs won't work for the new one so will need to figure out the best combination for that addition?
Aside from the fork braces, it would seem that many of the same farkles will need to be added - foot peg extenders, mirror extenders, windscreen, seat, center stand, racks . . . any others that you've come to find as must-have additions to the base model?
