I am 170 and I think the shape is all wrong. too rounded, like sitting on a barrel or big pipe. also pushes me forward. maybe the foam is old and hard. I have a bead cover hanging on the shed wall. it helped but not enough. I have a chinese air pad cover on now and the shape still seems way wrong. It is not the price of an aftermarket seat that stops me from buying one. It is the possibility that it won't work for me. I once bought a kawi concours 1000 that came with a corbin seat. also came with the stocker and the stocker worked better for me.

For me, it was the width and the hard edge that got the backs of my legs. (both on my V-Strom and my SV650) FOr the SV, I found a used Sargent seat. All-day comfort!

I snagged the cover on my 'Strom, so I bought new covering material and re-shaped the foam with a grinder and sander. Looks pretty decent and much more comfortable. Covering and a pneumatic upholstery stapler was about $50 total.

Kind of off topic from the OP, but the thread has traveled into seat pads...

I bought a Sit N Fly a while back after reading about them here on the forum. I have a 2016 Vee and stock seat. I took a few days vacation last week and went for a big ride. Orlando, FL - Statesboro, GA - Asheville, NC - Dublin, GA - Orlando, FL with each day being 6 or 7 hours over 300 to 400 miles. Total trip was just about 1350 miles over four days. For me, the Sit N Fly was the best moto $25 or so that I have ever spent. I'm considering getting an OEM tall seat to help with the leg room / knees (I'm 6'4" and already have Rick's peg lowering kit), but if I go there, the OEM tall will have a Sit N Fly on it.

I'm in no way affiliated with these things or the maker of them, but, for me, they work really well.

I rode my OEM seat, with a sit n' fly cover, on my 2015 DL650 5,000KM over 11 days. Never felt like there was a seat comfort issue. But I don't know what I don't know, since I haven't tried any other seat.

Two wheelz for realz!
