Another great review David! Nice to see the V-Strom getting some publicity in the magazines! It always seems to be compared to bikes that cost damn near double!

I have the Seat Concepts seat if you want to test it out for your follow up article. We could swap seats for a week or two in the spring.

I had Shad SH36's on my 2014 Vstrom and really miss them, they are the best luggage available for the Vstrom! I had the SH59X top case on my Honda ST1300 and it was awesome. It does tend to leak a bit though in heavy rain. I went with the Givi Trekker Outback and a much more expensive price point and they are great for storage but they designed them to sit up above the seat. The result is adding another inch or so of height to swing your leg over and they dig into my wifes legs on 2up rides. I had a set of plates made up to lower them so i'm hoping that helps come spring i'll find out

Once again great write up!
