Beak conversion kit

Is the beak removable? Is there a bolt on replacement that doesn't look so weird?

If its anything like the 2014 V2 then you need to disassemble the whole front to get that beak of. I have not seen any aftermarket part to replace it.

I think there are better ways to spend your time and money than fighting with the beak. Good Luck!

Well, maybe, but how a bike looks is somewhat important, too.

I'm just getting caught up on the latest V-Stroms, apparently there are two types of beaks, one that is fairly straight,

.

and one that looks like a can opener,

so I guess I will shoot for one of the former when I get a new V-Strom.

Anybody have a minute to educate on the year model changes regarding the bike styling? Is the can opener beak only on 2016 models? On the way out?

14-16 had the can opener beak, the 17-18 has a real beak and is fully part of the fairing.

Hay I like my can opener beak, it curves around the tire, not so stiff looking.

I bet someone could cut it off with a dremel if they really hated it so much, would take 5 minutes.
