What's This For?

Had this extra part bolted to the frame down by the exhaust butterfly. No wires or cables thru it, not holding anything or doing anything that I can see. Maybe some kind of tie down point from shipping?

Garage
Isn't that the metal piece that holds the overflow hoses? At least that's what mine was doing when I took it off the other day to put my center stand on.

That hose bracket comes on the '14 and later DL1000 to hold 2 hoses. It is removed during oem Suzuki center stand installation and no longer used. The center stand comes with its own hose bracket. Mine is sitting in a box with other items removed during other accessories installations.

I figured that out when I got back over to the shop and put the tank on. Some really long vent hoses to route thru.

It's like the dipstick for oil on a chevy, if you never check the oil, you don't need it.
