Last oil (and filter) change was at 189,586 km so is due in about 2,400 km so two or three weeks from now. I have a ton of stuff I'm doing over the next few days but if I get ahead of things I **might** change the oil sooner.
I'm on the 14th rear tire including the original one that came with the bike. All my rpelacemnt rtires except one were Tourance "Next". One was an Anlas Winter tire. (IMHO the Tourance Next performed as well as the Anlas down to -18°°f on dry or lightly snow covered roads.
17°c displayed is actually 15°c . it was an actual 7°c /45°f when I left home for work this morning. It hasn't been all that cold this fall here, no frost yet.
New Dunlops (Trailsmart) going on mine tomorrow. 204000 kms. Shucking the spent Shinko rear/Heidenau front setup.
You should pass me next week by the look of things. :wink2:
I'm putting more kms on the DRZ these days.
These will probably be the last tires I shoe on the Vee and the first "streetish" tires it's ever seen. Hoping for some dry weather this fall/winter to enjoy them to their full potential. Seems I always put new tires on just as winter weather arrives.

I would be interested in hearing how you like the Dunlops. I'm on some TrailAttack 3s now and they have been great other than they might be a bit of a stiffer ride. I would recommend them but considered Trailsmarts too. I might try the Anakee Adventures or PR5 Trail next.
Very impressive! I too would be interested in hearing about any issues you MAY have had or things you may have replaced: battery, bearings, suspension rebuilds, etc.
I got mine last year and I just rolled over 14k trouble free miles. I do have a to check valves this winter though.
Last time I filled my 2006 DL650 it have 202,435 km. I filled up my 2016 DL1000 earlier today (Monday) at 202,545 KM so this is now my highest mileage bike I ever had.
(I needed another fill up when I got home so in the morning I'll be around 202,850 km and should be over 203,000 km before I get home Tuesday.)
Yes Bancroft would be a good idea. I still want to go to that medical restaurant in Perth if it's open although I know sitting on the patio won't likely be realistic the time of year.
