2016 DL1000 Emblem removal

2016 Suzuki V Strom 1000 question... I haven't removed the fairing yet but does anyone know if the S logo on the plastic fairing has a pin holding it in as well as the foam tape? I'm interested in removing it but don't really want to if there is going to be a hole from a pin left behind.

No pin just tape. A heat gun is your friend. Hair dryer is ok to.

As Bugs said super easy. I always use floss and slide it behind to get started so fingernails don’t scratch

Yep, what he said. Brisky . In that sensitive spot I would just use a hair dryer. A heat gun might be too much.

Hot water is also an option, but ya I would avoid the heat gun for first attempt if plastic is involved. Being that its August parking in the sun for a while just might do it depending where you live.

I like the floss idea, never heard of that one before.

I see OP is in Arizona. Heat gun or hair dryer might not be needed. Could be as easy as parking the bike in the sun from say 3pm to 5pm. Ought to get it hot enough..
