For those that have actually replaced their high beam on Vee2, what have light have you used and what have your results been. Already figured out the H7 low beam but interested in hearing anyone with experience with replacing the H9 high beam in a eve 2. Vee1s not at all the same so experience with those not applicable.

Thanks

After many LED bulbs and poor road pattern, I've ended up with zDatt H7 and H9. Great bulbs and perfect light pattern.
zDatt has many models of LED upgrades. I've tried few of them but didn't like them. Then I got a tip on the spanish forum about exact model for our bikes and couldn't be happier ever since:

That is for H7. H9 has to have that same curvy look arround the led.
They've never blown up, since I got them 3 years ago. Installed H7 inside the housing with fan inside but the driver outside the dust cap. Just made a little slot on the side of the cap for the cable and then insulated the hole with bubble gum. Didn't care about dust cap. They are cheap at the dealer.
H9 is straight fit as it doesn't use dust cap.

I use HID. Others use LED. If you search this forum you can find exhaustive opinions.
One very handy attribute with the V2 (and stacked headlights) is that the high beam can be adjusted independently from the low beam. You can adjust your low beam so as to be very courteous to oncoming traffic.
Don't bargain shop for either.

I got this from Amazon.ca:

HSUN H11 H8 H9 LED Headlight Bulbs,All-in-One

H9 version. Plug and play, part of the adapter sits outside of the headlight housing but no issues with that.

Light gives *** TONS *** of light.

No hassle and it works brilliantly! (Pun intended.)

I'm have to check on the mileage but well over 10.000 km and prob over 20.000 km since installing with no issues whatsoever.

If you are anywhere near the GTA (or southern Ontario for that matter) I can bring the bike over and let you see for yourself how well they work.

The projection of H9 is stronger but after installing it I understood it was also a lot higher, blinding incoming drivers. So, I had to go to my friends shop that has the machine reading the hight of the beam and we adjusted it (there are adjusters behind the dash) to recommended hight. It has to be done with the rider sitting on the bike. That was on my first DL1000 2014. On this one, DL1000 2018, I knew it was going to be too high so before removing the old bulb, I parked the bike 5 meters away from the white wall and put some black tape on the line of the beam pattern on the wall. Then I mounted new LED bulb without moving the bike. This time, with the line on the wall, adjusting was simple as the dash was already off. It got perfect.
One more note, if you go with LED H9, mounting is a bit different then with normal bulb. LED bulb has the collar, just like the halogen bulb, but it is removable. In order to fix the bulb in its housing, you first separate the collar from the LED bulb, if I can remember well, by twisting it counter clockwise. Then you install just the collar the same way you'd install halogen bulb, close the spring and then twist the LED bulb in.

H9 is for high beam. When cars are oncoming you turn it off so no one gets blinded.
