Got the new HEED crash bars on.....

First off, packed well... one of 2 things... there is no shortage of foam tube packing and plastic wrap in Poland, or there is a shortage, and HEED is responsible. If they come scratched, you put it there.

Instructions were not hard at all. I used a micrometer to make sure I had the right length spacers were they went, and the rest was easy.

Instillation took about 30-40 min including removing the old bars. The only issue I ran into was the mounting bracket for the Happy Trails skit plate did not fit right.

So I took a few hours and cut a new bracket out of some plate... drilled and painted, and it was well worth it.

So they are on, and AWESOME. Cover all the way up to the blinkers. Build stout. Fit perfect. Lots of light mounting options... just a nice product overall.

THE LIST:
99 TL1000R - Blue and White
02 GSX-R1000 - Blue and white
94 RF900R - Black - SOLD to get....
14 DL1000 - Cool tan color!!! WOOT

I had seen crash bars and skid plate on Ebay for a good price. By the time I was ready to buy, the listing for the combo was gone. I contacted Heed through Ebay and they put up a "buy it now" listing for the combo, basically just for me. Took a little while to get it from Poland, but I'm definitely happy with customer service and quality.

Thanks for the info. I ordered a set of bars on the Heed website for my K5. Will be replacing some Givi bars that are pretty much rusted through . I did set off my credit card fraud alert, but it's all good now.

+1 to Heed. Ordered crash bars directly from Heed website. Delivery to Russia didn't take long. Bars are awesome. Already put them to test (low speed off-road crash, but still), and they work well, bike is undamaged.
