I kinda like this solution. I'm 5'10" and if the ground is anything but perfectly flat the bike leans over so much it can be difficult to get off the side stand. When I part at work in the motorcycle area the Vee leans over on the side stand much more than all the other bikes. I'd like a solution that makes the foot larger and the stand just a little longer.

Love the high-value solution, but please....PLEASE round the corners off... Just looking at it is giving me stitches in my legs and a refresher tetanus shot...

And that is exactly what you have, a bit like an exhaust with holes drilled. But hey....as long as it does the job and you are happy.

I had no idea the factory kickstand foot on 2002 Vees was so tiny. That can hardly be called a foot, really, it's just the shaft of the kickstand has been hammered flat.

When I lifted the rear of my Wee1" I built a bigger foot out of a plastic kitchen chopping board.

Being plastic it was light and easy to shape and it was about 1/2" thick so the bike did not lean as far.

After about 2 years of use the plastic did go brittle in the Aussie sun so version 2 got a coat of paint to keep it out of the sun.

You can countersink the bolt heads if you wish, I did.

When I bought my V2 it has a Givi foot expander on it. No complaints as of yet.

+1 on Adventure Tech. I’ve purchased several products from them (including the foot) and have never regretted any of them.

When we designed the bolt-on side stand foot enlarger we took input from the community. One of the things people noted was that the DL650 tends len over a mo than most would like when on the side stand. So people wanted something that would effectively add a little length as well as enlarge the foot. So that what i did. Our DL650 side stand foot makes the side stand effectively 1/4" longer. Just enough to do what's needed.

BTW, I have NEVER heard of one of our side stand enlargers failing, but if it did i would replace it free of charge. Happiness guaranteed.
