Same set of $17 KLR pegs on the second bike now. I did have to paint them...cheap junk...

Cheap usually means cheap....expensive does not mean good. Do your homework. Mo Tech pegs have good reviews and I agree with the reviews. Again, you generally get what you pay for.

I remember the first time I bought a really good set of motorcycle boots. My existing pegs suddenly felt like floorboards because of all the support built into the sole. Super comfortable and once you experience it you never want to go back.

So if cheap means junk, why aren't you all riding BMWs? They're really expensive. You could die on a cheep Strom! That's one of the most ridiculous arguments out there, and it's used all the time. Smh...But to each his own. 30,000 miles on my cheep pegs on my cheep Gen 1 Vee and I'm still mostly alive. And to make it worse, I've run Shinko tires!

I have the sw-motech pegs.. massive upgrade over stock and has really increased my stand up riding. They inspire confidence. Expensive though compared to other options.

I have been all over dirt roads standing on my cheap SS pegs (Liard hwy, Depster, Robert Cambell), and when the bike tipped over at a rest stop, the only thing that broke was the aluminum peg support behind the peg.

But if people feel like they gained something by paying $200+ dollars for pegs, then I am happy for them.

I paid $150 for my shorty Pazzo levers and am happy with those. I tried the cheap Chinese ones and they were all crap. Chinese Pegs seem to be good though, and I have never read about someone having one break and causing death, but it sure makes a great one liner. lol.

PineLane Rider, my other bike is a BMW G650GS, the cheapest thing in their line-up at the time. About $7K. It's fun to ride but it's no Wee strom.
The Wee Strom rides more like the BMW 1100RT I had a while back but the Wee is much lighter.
