ABS fuse for 2014 1000

Cant get search to cooperate.... what fuse do I need to yank to turn off ABS? May be doing a gravel ride and would like it off.

Also, does pulling that fuse disable the entire cluster too? Hope not...

Also on this note, couldn't a person just run a switch from the bars or anywhere on the bike, to the wire going into the fuse and splice it in... so switch off, just like pulling the fuse... switch on, business as usual??? Seems much less complicated that running power to relays and switches and etc etc etc...

Thanks all...

You need to pull the 25a ABS motor fuse.

If you pull the 15a valve fuse you will lose your instruments.

I basically replaced that fuse with a inline fuse and a switch (it's posted on here) no need to cycle the ignition switch with a switch, just off and on, all will be good.

try this, others have done it in other ways too.

I suggest you use a DC Cable Sizing Tool once you know the length of cable you will use, it should be rated to handle 25 amps although my testing tells me it never gets anywhere near that.

I fitted the switch near the rear brake master cylinder so it is a very short run and I'm still using a 15a fuse without any troubles.
