Has anyone removed / disconnected the brush guards on the newer DL's?
If so, what was the result? I'd like to add a Throttlemeister but cant woth these attached.

Thx

If your DL came with them new, as the Adventure model, you have the longer bar end weight screws. You'll also need the shorter clutch and brake lever pivot screws.
I added these guards, but kept all the original hardware.

Thanks MAZ4ME; I have the Throttlemeister on a set of Renthal bars on my '03, and I'm hoping to figure out a way to move it over.
Guess I just need to disconnect the hand guards and go for a ride!

Klonger, the shorter handlebar weight screws are available separately. Suzuki Part # 09127-06018 @ $2.30 each.
The screws for the Adventure models is longer to compensate for the width of the hand guard outer support and the extra bar end spacer weight. This screw, like all the rest of the hardware with most of their oem accessories, is not available separately, and is part of the hand guard kit.
