Puig engine gaurds

Just received my new Puig engine guards for my 2014 Vee2, as I am installing them the rear mount is a long rod that passes all the way trough the rear engine mount and frame. It is a 12MM threaded rod. The nuts that come with the hardware package are only 10 MM. I was pissed. I had to put it back together and go 10 miles to a hardware store for 12 MM nuts. They are on now without any other issues, and quality seems top notch. But that was just poor QC on their part. Anyone else have this issue or am I just that guy?

"Just give it a little more gas, it will be alright!"

Mine were on when I got it.... Agree they seem stout. But yep, that would suck.....

I am trying the Happy Trails skid plate to see if it will attach to them... will post up when it gets here
