Swiss Desert Model in Tan or Black

Not sure what is going on in Switzerland but they got these desert models on their web site - Suzuki - V-Strom 1000 Desert

That's the first low-profile tail I've seen. Looks great! Clean cut. Would obviously need a mudguard but I had pretty much given up on this

Individual Suzuki importers/distributors are able to make whatever deals with the factory they can negotiate and many countries have versions and even models that may not be available elsewhere.

Some importers might even choose to make up an after market "pack" to go with a base model for assembly by the dealer. They must be motivated by what they think they can sell. I have even seen individual dealers add accessories to their floor stock.

You can make any Wee or Vee look the desert part with 12 dollars of Rust-o-leum or Krylon paint.
I even spent 12 bucks to get Horned Toad decals to finish off the look.

Great looking bike, and an interesting mix of parts. Those are Touratech crashbars, have no idea who makes the skid plate.

R1200RT (sold), Super Tenere (sold), Kawi ER6N (SE Asia), 2014 V-Strom 1000 (Stateside)

JRB_NW check the PDF link (5.6MB) in the 2nd post and you'll find all the S2 Concept Desert Express parts.
