Question about upgrading from a 2012 dl1000

Going to trade in the 2012 to a 2016 and was wondering big difference between the two

Brakes, instruments, suspension, noticeably lighter.

It has gear indicator, thermometer, voltage meter, ABS. I don't find the TC useful but it is there to play with. Gearing is set right from the start. Stock seat is better.

It is an improvement all around.

i would look at the AT or the 1090 adv r if you are going to do off road (this bike was not designed for it

unless you are planning to buy a new 14' or something alike (then there is a major price difference)
