Clutch stopped working...

Just before I arrived at work my clutch stopped working. On the past weekend it needed a top up of the brake fluid and I had scheduled it to go to my shop this weekend to check the clutch (suspect bad slave cylinder) and do plugs and check the valves. I'll see if topping up and bleeding will get it going enough to get home otherwise I'll call a truck to take it there.

My Opinion:
Vee or V= DL1000 before 2014
Vee2 or V2 = DL1000 2015 to 2019
Vee3 or V3 = DL1050 2020 to?

My Stroms:
2006 DL650: 202,000 km 125,500 miles, Sold
2012 DL650 139,500+ km, 86,700+ miles. Sold
2015 DL1000 New July 2015 205,000+ km, 127,000+ miles.

This can help preventing from cars pulling out in front of you (SMIDSY)

I wonder if you are having the same issue that I did? This is from a 2012 Vee. My slave was corroded junk only after 25k miles. At first I had no idea why I lost all my fluid. After looking at my slave I was enlightened. I opted for a whole new unit but you may be ok with just a re-build.

It was replaced last year and I think I have a year and a half of warranty anyway so I am sending it to my dealership (who is wonderful!) and let them see. I don't think the part is that much.. $100 and something Can$) While there they can check valves and put in new plugs (That I bought a while ago but never got a plug wrench that fits these tiny things.)

My dealer is complaining about me bringing my own plugs in, they don't want to be responsible if they insert them and they don't work or something, plus they want more money.

My dealer wouldn't have an issue even more so since they sold them to me. I really appreciate my dealer.. they are a small, family owned business that really tries to take care of their clients.

Use the plug wrench that's in the toolkit that came with the bike. Works just fine and saves you from having to buy extra tools.

My DL650's had a tool but I don't recall seeing one with my DL1000. Are you sure the 2014+ DL1000 toolkit comes with it?

My 2002 DL1000 came with a reasonable toolkit (at a first glance - I have not had the need to use it in anger yet, apart from the spark plugs) but this thread suggests that the 2014+ DL1000 comes with a toolkit that is indeed, well, disappointing.
